Hi, my name is Daniel Chappe. I have been taking photos, filming and making videos since  I can remember. Throughout high school, this passion and love for the craft only grew. During this time my hobby slowly started growing into a career. School during the week and then video/photo editing on the weekend, I started editing videos for my church and I also started filming and editing Wedding videos during this time. I remember being asked to do videos for East Coast Radio and this definitely was a boost in my confidence and helped me come to the realisation that this was a career I wanted to follow.

Straight out of High School I went into Video Editing, I was studying theology through SATS during this time but also taking on various video and photography projects. After touring Denmark for five weeks with the band Grand Traverse in early 2017 I was employed by CityHill Church, Hillcrest working part-time there during the week. Soon after that, I was employed by a media company in Hillcrest called Classic Fusion Media where I worked the remaining days of the week.
 
Early in 2020, I decided to resign from both my positions at Classic Fusion Meida and CityHill Church. My plan was to give freelance another chance, implementing the experience I had gathered throughout the years. It’s been an exciting journey so far, in 2020 I submitted a Short Film for the 48 Hour Film Project that won some awards (I couldn’t believe it) and then in 2021 I’ve worked with brands such as AmaZulu football club and Mitsubishi. Over the years I have worked with individual clients, companies, freelancers, couples, firms, designers, churches, stores and schools. I’m very excited for the future and what it holds.
